The Fire was formed in the Fall 2003, and competed in the Fall 03 and Spring 04 All-star tournament season as a U8 all-star team. The Fire played in the Herndon Observer Cup, Sterling Thanksgiving Tournament, and FPYC Fathers Day Tournament. The Fire played exceptionably well and had lots of fun. There were many highlights on and off the field. The Fire #3 went 4 - 0 and the Fire #4 went 3 - 1 this past weekend during the 4 v 4 FPYC Fathers Day Tournament held June 19 and 20, 2004.
The "ASC Fire" competed in the 2004 Hunt Country Classic on Nov. 20 & 21. The ASC Fire was the CHAMPION in the combined U9/U10 Premier Division going undefeated 4 - 0. The Fire scored 20 goals and only allowed 5 over the 4 game tournament. Way to go "BOYS"!! "GO FIRE"
The "ASC FIRE" participated in the Regional Qualifier for the National Indoor Soccer Championships in Maryland and the Rockville sportsplex over the weekend of Dec. 11'th and 12'th. The Fire was crowned the U9 boys Division I Regional Champions going undefeated 3 - 0 - 1. The "ASC Fire" has qualified to attend the 2004/2005 National Finals to be held in Detroit Michigan on Feb. 28'th and 29'th. "GO FIRE"!!
The "ASC FIRE" participated in the National Indoor Soccer Championships in Sterling Va, at the Dulles sportsplex over the weekend of Feb. 12'th and 13'th. The Fire played against teams from MI, MD, PA, OH, MA, and IN. The Fire battled their way into the National Finals and were crowned the U9 boys 2005 National FINALIST.
The "Fire" was undefeated going 7 - 0 and were the Dulles Sportsplex U8/U9 Winter 2004-2005 Session II Division Champions.
The Fire competed in the 2005 McSoccerfest in Columbia, MD on June 25'th. The Fire combined forces with players from Loudoun Power, and the Loudoun Mutiny. The Fire entered two teams in the 4 v 4 event and both teams played exceptionably well. Loudoun Fire consisted of players from ASC Fire Andy, Danny, TJ, and Reilly. Guest players from Loudoun Power were Stephen H. and Tyler C. The Ashburn Fire battled their way into the division finals and faced off against a very talented FC Frederick team. The Fire battled to a 2 - 1 loss in the final minute and were the division finalist. Loudoun United consisted of players from the Fire Tyler B, John "J", and Fintan. Mutiny players were Josh, Ryan, and Kahlil. The Loudoun United team won their division based on points going undefeated 3 - 0 - 1 and were division "Champions"!
The ASC Fire has just recently completed the selection process for the up coming Fall 05 NCSL Travel season. The Fire will carry a roster of 12 very talented kids from across the Loudoun County area, and compete against the areas best U10 boys.
The "FIRE" had a great Fall 05 season. The FIRE had 6 wins 2 losses and 3 ties against some of the areas top NCSL teams. The "FIRE" scored an amazing 35 goals in 11 games and only allowed 11 all season.
The "FIRE" continued the winning ways in the first session of the Dulles sportsplex winter Indoor season. The "FIRE" played up in age in the combined U10/U11 age division. The "FIRE" ended with a record of 4 wins 1 loss and 1 tie. The "FIRE" made it to the Finals/Championship game in a showdown against the U11 CYA Cobras. The Cobras had already given the "FIRE" it's only Indoor loss of the season. The FIRE battled the older, bigger/stronger boys and were leading 4 - 3 with only a few minutes remaining. The CYA Cobras scored off a kick-off on a long high ball that was out of the reach of our goalie. The game ended 4 - 4, but the "FIRE" was able to walk off the field knowing they had avenged an earlier season loss. The "FIRE" scored 47 goals in 6 games WAY to GO FIRE!!
The "FIRE" Played in the second Indoor session playing against some of the Washington DC. Metro areas best NCSL teams from around the region. The "FIRE" ended up as U10 Red division finalist going 5 - 1 - 1 and scoring an amazing 42 goals in 7 games. The "FIRE" were Finalist in both Indoor session I & Session II and had a combined Indoor record this 2006 winter Indoor season of 9 - 2 - 2. The boys scored a whopping 89 goals in 13 games!! WAY TO GO "FIRE"!!!!!
Spring 06 pre-season KICKOFF. The "FIRE" took part in the Stafford Shootout on March 12 at the Fredricksberg Fieldhouse. The "FIRE" competed against other Top quality NCSL teams from Maryland and Virginia. The "FIRE" battled their way into the tournament finals against some very stiff competition. The "Fire" scored in the final 15 second on a late break away by Liam in game number one to earn the victory. In the simi final match the "FIRE" battle back from going down early to force the match into overtime. 2:00 minutes into the first 5 minute overtime period Adam hit a shot one timer far post upper 90 for the dramatic victory!! In the finals the "FIRE" played a talented Vista Burn team with a game changing forward that required close attention. The "FIRE" "D" shut down the goal scorer for the Vista Burn, and coasted through the CHAMPIONSHIP final 11 - 3. It was an amazing weekend of of fun filled, dramatic soccer. The "FIRE" finished undefeated going 4 - 0 against some really great teams St. Mary's from MD, PWSI White, Stafford Thunder, and the Vista Burn. Great job boys!!!
